Managing Clients and Brands

Learn how to organize your workspace with clients and brands for multi-client campaign management.

Otternative Ads Dashboard supports hierarchical organization of your campaigns through clients and brands, making it easy to manage multiple clients and their brands in one workspace.

Workspace Structure

The platform uses a hierarchical structure:

Team Account

Clients

Creating a Client

  1. Navigate to Clients → Add Client
  2. Enter client information:
    • Name: Client company name
    • Contact Email: Primary contact email
    • Description: Optional description
  3. Click Create Client

Managing Clients

  • View Clients: See all clients in your workspace
  • Edit Client: Update client information
  • Delete Client: Remove client (requires confirmation)
  • Client Dashboard: View performance metrics for a specific client

Client Permissions

Control access to client data:

  • Team Members: Assign team members to clients
  • Roles: Set roles (viewer, editor, admin)
  • Access Control: Limit access to specific clients

Brands

Creating a Brand

  1. Navigate to Brands → Add Brand
  2. Select the Client this brand belongs to
  3. Enter brand information:
    • Name: Brand name
    • Description: Optional description
    • Industry: Brand industry (optional)
  4. Click Create Brand

Managing Brands

  • View Brands: See all brands, optionally filtered by client
  • Edit Brand: Update brand information
  • Delete Brand: Remove brand (requires confirmation)
  • Brand Dashboard: View performance metrics for a specific brand

Brand Organization

  • Multiple Brands: Clients can have multiple brands
  • Brand Hierarchy: Brands belong to clients
  • Campaign Assignment: Assign campaigns to specific brands

Campaign Assignment

Assigning Campaigns to Clients/Brands

When importing or creating campaigns:

  1. Select Client: Choose which client the campaign belongs to
  2. Select Brand: Choose which brand (under the client)
  3. Save Assignment: Campaign is now organized under the brand

Bulk Assignment

Assign multiple campaigns at once:

  1. Select campaigns from the campaign list
  2. Click Bulk Actions → Assign to Client/Brand
  3. Select client and brand
  4. Confirm assignment

Performance Views

Client-Level Performance

View aggregated metrics for all brands under a client:

  • Total Spend: Combined spend across all brands
  • Total Conversions: Combined conversions
  • Average ROAS: Average return on ad spend
  • Brand Breakdown: Performance by brand

Brand-Level Performance

View metrics for a specific brand:

  • Campaign Performance: All campaigns under the brand
  • Brand Metrics: Aggregated brand-level metrics
  • Trends: Performance trends over time

Team Collaboration

Team Member Access

  • Client Access: Assign team members to specific clients
  • Brand Access: Limit access to specific brands
  • Role-Based Access: Control what team members can do

Roles and Permissions

  • Viewer: Can view data but not edit
  • Editor: Can view and edit campaigns
  • Admin: Full access to client/brand data

Best Practices

  • Consistent Naming: Use consistent naming conventions
  • Clear Organization: Organize clients and brands logically
  • Access Control: Set appropriate permissions for team members
  • Regular Review: Review and update client/brand structure regularly
